Opinion Poem

“It is not for us to have an opinion”

Said the once-great man in a time of confliction,

Because now we’re left with no great plan

Just a messed up world, fazzed in confusion

The abstract distraction of the average man

It’s the mutation of the collision in which we took action,

All destroying the creation of the world,

The word

Man speak and man spoke

Man took and man broke

And now we cry in sorrow

For the demons that follow

Showing no hint of mercy,

No room for the ‘Help me’

We beg and we borrow

We fight with our arrows

And that’s how it all started,

How two close men parted,

How the cruel and cold hearted,

Soon ended up sad, lonely and parted

Now we’re left on our own,

Our soul stands,

We cry for our homes and the need to be needed

The need to feel fine,

But gradually over time,

Might man resort to crime, the thought had been seeded

But there’s a safe we can be,

From the likes of you and me,

We can escape the growing sea

That might one day, leave no pity

It’s a pity the city sunk,

Pity the city drowned

Pity the city lost, what it deemed royal and crowned

Above the sunken city is the noise,

The noise of the destroyed,

A loud city clatter threatened to break the void

But once masked by the equal abise,

The dogs won’t bark and the cats won’t hiss,

For we are equal you and me,

With the earth, the sky and the pending seas

Man lives as though he writes the way,

But really he has no say

For our sky is our ceiling

Our earth is our floor

Our sea is our feeding

Our sun is our warmth

As man can’t live without these foundations

For it is these that allows his very own creation.
