Egg

Poached Eggs

My godfather and his friend Yi are limiting their egg use, as the commodity is already rare in their areas. In London, I feel ok in getting eggs. That being said, last I shopped was pre-lock down. So the face of the stores will vary greatly by the time I return to do my ‘only completely necessary’ grocery shop.
I live for eggs, I eat probably too many eggs.

Here I mixed up my usual breakfast of fried eggs to go for poached.

Interesting technique, I’ve been watching my housemate, who unlike following strategic techniques in order to attain the poach of the egg… she instead, no vinegar, no stirring, simply PLOPS the eggs in the boiling water… and leaves the hunnys, pocking and checking visually if they look done.

This was my first time poaching taking that approach.. and hallelujah, it works perfectly, so super easy!

Boil the water, drop eggs in, wait and watch.

I also put marmite on my toast with spinach.

Marmite absolutely bosses the egg taste. Once you go marmite / egg combo - you don’t go back.

Stickey Rice

Sticky Rice

I learned this recipe whilst studying in complete silence for two weeks Sivanandah yoga practices and meditation, on a farm in Belarus (? lol).

Sivanandah, is the somewhat ‘scientific’ branch of yoga, with its focus on the healthy benefits of stretching and breathing correctly.

This dish is perfect for a lush breakfast, lunchn or dins!

Sticky Rice (cooked the same as normal rice), with ground cinnamon, golden raisins, sunflower seeds, crushed walnuts, dates, banana and honey

Everyday / 20 minutes

We have been advised to sip on boiling water every 20 minutes, as any molecules of the virus that might be resting ready to infect, shall be washed away!

That being said, there are other natural immune system boosters that are like, powerFULL.

That is why, everyday I have been sipping boiling water from this cute yellow cup, which is loaded with freshly grated ginger

I also drink a litre of fresh filtered water, and eat a clove of garlic.

Which I’ll be honest, always makes me feel a bit sick for 10 / 15 minutes, but it’s literally medicinal magic in a clove (and may produce stinky gas…who knows, not me).

Benefits of Fresh Ginger: may help improve digestion, relieving nausea, easing a cold or the flu, relieving pain.

Benefits of Garlic: highly nutritious but low in calories, combats sickness and cold & flu symptoms, reduce blood pressure, improves cholesterol levels… more and more and more.
